Support the journalists of the Los Angeles Times
Over the last few weeks, countless subscribers and other supporters have asked how they can support the Los Angeles Times Guild. If you are concerned, like we are, about the future of journalism at The Times, we would welcome having you add your voice to the debate. Here are a few ideas.
DO NOT CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
We care about a vibrant Los Angeles Times. And for that, we need our subscribers. Please do not cancel your subscription! Our work is important. You are important. Let’s keep that long-time relationship going!
TELL TRONC WHAT YOU THINK
Write to our parent company — to Tronc’s board of directors — to let them know that you support strong journalism, especially strong journalism in Los Angeles. Tell them what The Los Angeles Times means to you and to the city.
TELL THE LOS ANGELES TIMES WHAT YOU THINK
Write to our new editor-in-chief Jim Kirk and tell him why the Los Angeles Times is important to you and why you are concerned about the future of the paper: firstname.lastname@example.org
And while you’re at it, submit a formal letter to the editor via the Los Angeles Times website. You can do that here.
SHARE YOUR LETTER WITH US
It’s helpful to know what people are saying, so please share your story with us. CC us on your emails at hello [at] latguild [dot] com.
MAKE IT PUBLIC
Post a statement to social media and we’ll share the best ones. On Twitter, you’ll find us at @latguild.
